Description

Delicious vegan maple pecan bars with a buttery crust and sweet maple-pecan topping.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter, cold
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, granulated sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cut in vegan butter until crumbly.
  4. Add water and mix until dough forms.
  5. Press dough into a lined baking pan.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. In a saucepan, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, coconut oil, vanilla, and salt.
  8. Bring to a boil, then stir in pecans.
  9. Pour pecan mixture over the crust.
  10. Bake for 20 minutes until set.
  11. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • For a crispier crust, bake for an extra 5 minutes.
  • Use pure maple syrup for best flavor.
