- 6 slices of thick bread (vegan)
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp flaxseed meal (mixed with 3 tbsp water)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with coconut oil.
- Arrange the bread slices in the dish.
- In a bowl, mix almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and flaxseed mixture.
- Pour the mixture evenly over the bread.
- Let it soak for 10 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
- Serve warm with extra maple syrup.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better absorption.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
- Top with fresh fruit or nuts if desired.
