Instructions
- Combine diced apples, water, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until apples soften (about 10-12 minutes).
- Stir in vanilla extract and lemon juice.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
