Ingredients

- 1 cup red lentils
- 4 cups water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the lentils under cold water.
- Heat oil in a pot and sauté onion, garlic, and ginger until soft.
- Add spices and stir for 1 minute.
- Add lentils and water, bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until lentils are soft.
- Season with salt and serve hot.
