Description

A sweet and spicy pear and ginger chutney that pairs well with cheese, roasted meats, or sandwiches.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large pears, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat to low and cook for 30-40 minutes until thickened.
  4. Let cool before transferring to a jar.
  5. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
