Description

Crunchy cookies with a spicy ginger kick and rich chocolate flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in egg and molasses.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized dough onto a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm.
  9. Cool on a wire rack.
